Safari types

Start with what you want to see

All safari types
Silverback at close range in Bwindi undergrowth, eye contact with the camera
From $2,450 pp
3 to 10 days

First-time visitors, bucket-list travellers, honeymooners

Gorilla Trekking Safaris

One hour, at close range, with a habituated mountain gorilla family. Everything else on a Uganda itinerary is built around this day.

Elephant herd on the Kazinga Channel shoreline at golden hour, boat perspective
From $2,850 pp
4 to 12 days

Repeat safari-goers, photographers, families

Wildlife & Big Game Safaris

Uganda's savannah parks are emptier than Kenya's or Tanzania's and just as productive, while the boat cruises give you something the Mara cannot.

Chimpanzee mid-canopy in Kibale, or a golden monkey in Mgahinga's bamboo
From $2,150 pp
5 to 9 days

Wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, second-time Africa travellers

Primate Safaris

No country puts this many habituated primate species within one week's driving. Gorillas, chimpanzees and golden monkeys on a single itinerary is a Uganda-only proposition.

Shoebill stork in papyrus at Mabamba, or a great blue turaco in Bwindi canopy
From $2,400 pp
8 to 16 days

Serious birders, listers, photographers

Birding Safaris

Uganda holds more than half of Africa's bird species in a country the size of Britain. For a serious lister it is the densest, most efficient birding destination on the continent.

Batwa guide demonstrating traditional forest skills on the Batwa Trail, natural light, not staged dance
From $2,600 pp
5 to 12 days

Travellers who want context, repeat visitors, slower itineraries

Cultural & Community Tours

Cultural tourism goes wrong when it becomes a show staged for a vehicle. These are the visits we are comfortable selling: community-run, community-paid, and honest about what they are.

Raft dropping into a grade-five Nile rapid, or a climber on the Margherita glacier at sunrise
From $2,900 pp
5 to 14 days

Active travellers, hikers, climbers, adrenaline seekers

Adventure & Hiking Safaris

Glaciers on the equator, the largest caldera on earth, and commercially rafted grade five whitewater, Uganda's adventure side is thrilling and diverse.

Premium tented camp deck at dusk overlooking forest or savannah, lamps lit, no people in frame
From $5,800 pp
6 to 12 days

Honeymooners, milestone trips, travellers short on time

Luxury Safaris

The luxury upgrade in Uganda is not really about thread count. It is about flying the transfers instead of driving them, and buying back three days of your holiday.

Simple ensuite banda or tented camp at the forest edge, warm evening light
From $2,450 pp
3 to 8 days

Backpackers, students, value-focused travellers

Budget & Camping Safaris

There is a hard floor under a Uganda gorilla trip and it is the $800 permit. Everything above that line is negotiable; here is exactly where.

Private lodge deck at Lake Bunyonyi or Bwindi at dusk, two chairs, lamplight, mist
From $4,900 pp
7 to 12 days

Honeymooners, anniversaries, couples travelling privately

Honeymoon Safaris

The mistake on a honeymoon safari is packing it. We build these the other way: fewer parks, longer stays, and nothing that starts at 5am two days running.

Family of four in a pop-top 4x4, children standing through the roof watching giraffe
From $3,300 pp
7 to 12 days

Families with teenagers, multi-generational groups

Family Safaris

The age limits are real and we would rather tell you now than sell you a trip your ten-year-old cannot join. Here is what works at every age.

Motorised canoe pushing through papyrus channels at Mabamba at first light
From $1,200 per adult
Half day to 2 days

Business travellers, layovers, add-on days, residents

Day Trips & Short Breaks

For business travellers, long layovers and the day before your flight home: everything here works as a single day out of Entebbe or Kampala.

The Virunga volcano chain seen across the Uganda–Rwanda border, terraced foothills in foreground
From $6,600 pp
8 to 14 days

Repeat visitors, primate specialists, travellers with two weeks

Uganda & Rwanda Combined Safaris

Two gorilla treks in two countries, two very different forests, and a border crossing that takes about an hour. It is the most-requested upgrade we build.

How it works

From first message to Entebbe arrivals

  1. 1

    Tell us your dates

WhatsApp, the enquiry form or email. We need travel dates, rough group size and which budget tier feels right, nothing more at this stage.

  2. 2

    We check live availability

Permits and lodges are confirmed against real availability before we quote, not after. You get an itemised itinerary, usually within the hour.

  3. 3

    Secure the permits

A 30% deposit locks your gorilla permits against your passport details. Permits are only ever confirmed once paid in full to the Uganda Wildlife Authority.

  4. 4

    Arrive and go

Your driver-guide meets you at Entebbe with a name board. Full pre-departure pack, packing list and 24-hour local contact sent ahead of travel.

Why book direct with us

The on-the-ground Ugandan operator: not a booking agent

Based in Uganda, not abroad

We operate from Entebbe with satellite offices near Bwindi and Kibale. No foreign middleman, no resold markup.

Statutory costs quoted openly

Permits, park fees and boat cruises are itemised at cost in every quote, so nothing appears late in the process.

Direct lodge relationships

Trade-rate accounts with mid-range and luxury lodges across all four signature parks.

A human answers, fast

Send your dates on WhatsApp and a consultant (not a bot) usually replies within the hour.
